On February 1, 2022, there will be a New Moon in Aquarius. The New Moon represents a clean slate for new energy and new perspective(s). Aquarius is the sign of detachment and selfless acts. This is the sign of the humanitarian and to be a good humanitarian, one has to give for the sake of giving and not expect much of anything back.
This Sun-Moon conjunction will be accompanied by Saturn who is also the ruler of both planets at this time. Saturn will also be ruling the Capricorn stellium (three or more planets) consisting of Mercury, Venus and Mars. Capricorn is the sign of responsibilities and reputation. This is a lot of Saturnian energy!
It is important to understand that this New Moon will not make much noise on its own. This transit is mostly the act of Saturn so we must pay close attention to Saturn at this time. We must also look at the planets the signs are ruled by as most planets will be ruled by Saturn with the exception of Jupiter.
Saturn says we are influencers and influenced
Saturn, while being known as the planet of delay and limitations, is the planet of decisions. To put into perspective: Saturn is exalted in Libra, the sign of justice, and in fall in Aries, the sign of self. Saturn wants us to decide on what kind of life we want to live: a life that can be lived with others (Libra) or living just with ourself (Aries).
Saturn makes us realize that our life and our decisions, whether we see it or believe it, make an impact on others, and vice versa. Our lifetime, the good and the bad, is based on decisions we make and the ones others make. We are influenced and influencers.
What does it mean for each sign?
With the above considered, this is a time of decisions and sacrifice. We are being questioned about what we are living life for and taking responsibility for our life and what we do with the time we have.
Aries and Scorpio will feel as if they are on top of the world and they will be. Mars will be exalted in Capricorn, so these signs need to channel this energy into creating more top of the world opportunities for others. Saturn will make them reflect on what it took to get here and who they brought with them and who they had to leave behind. New Moon will define what friends and family mean to them.
Taurus and Libra may find a quote that really speaks to where they are in their life and will use it as motivation to keep going. Sentimental will turn into symbolism. Venus in Capricorn will cause these signs to be firm in their boundaries and beliefs. Saturn will provide them an opportunity to show the world their talent and creativity. New Moon will give them inspiration.
Gemini and Virgo’s mindset will see an intense shift. Their priorities will change. Mercury in Capricorn will cause these signs to be very intentional with how and where they learn new information. Saturn will give these signs a new discipline, and the New Moon will provide the space for this new discipline to be put into practice.
Cancer and Leo will learn that accountability is their friend. They will need to hold themselves and others accountable so harmony in relationships can be created. Sun, Moon, and Saturn will be working hand in hand in teaching these signs that they can learn from the people around them. Who they surround themselves with is a reflection of who they are.
Sagittarius and Pisces are the only signs that will not necessarily answer to Saturn. Jupiter is in Pisces and will teach these signs more about who they are as a person. The New Moon will spark deeper thinking of what they want their impact on the world to be.
Aquarius and Capricorn are the most impacted because the transiting planets will be in these signs. They will be reflecting on what they value and love about themselves. When they highlight the good that’s within, the good of the world will seem more recognizable. When they highlight the work that can be done within, the work the world needs will be more recognizable too.
The world is waiting on you
Don’t think of the world as just the global world, but the world as in what is visible to you and within your proximity and control. The world in this context is subjective and is always ready for change. This transit is a call to the inner humanitarian that is in everyone because the world needs us!
